Illustration on Bulgarian folklore

Hello,
I am very proud today to introduce my boyfriend's illustration project. His name is Peter Kadminsky and in my opinion, he is the most talented man I know. I took part in this project by doing research on the topic and providing information of value. So after two weeks of hard work, we made the first Illustration which hopefully would be included in an upcoming children's book on Bulgarian folklore.
The characters
In this illustration, you can see three characters. The boy and the girl are dressed in traditional Bulgarian clothing The boy is clever and very naughty but courageous. The girl intelligent, she is the most beautiful girl in the village The third character is Lamya which is basically a kind of Dragon. You can find this character in most of the Bulgarian fairytales. It is usually an evil creature which inflicts harm on the people, but we wanted it to look funny and friendly.
The story
In a small village life is peaceful until one-day cows and sheep started to disappear. People found the bodies in a nearby forest which they believe is magical. The villagers believed that their animals were taken by Lamya-a nasty fire-breathing beast. The bravest men gathered and they decided to kill the Lamya. They went to the forest and never returned. In the meantime, our male character fell in love with a beautiful redhead. He was trying to figure out how to impress her and came up with a plan to go in the woods and slaughter the creature. And so he did, but he met the Lamya and found out that the Dragon is not responsible for the killing. Instead, he learned that there is a hungry bear on the loose. The boy killed the bear with the help of the Lamya and made a deal with the Dragon. He took his new friend to the girl and presented him as a prisoner. The girl understood immediately that there is kindness in the eyes of the beast and new the boy was lying, but fell for him anyway.
The story we are telling is about a boy who befriended the Lamya and now he is presenting it to the girl in order to make her fall in love with him.
