I opened my eyes, trying to remember where I was. The walls were very white and clean and as I looked around, I realized I was in a hospital, a stark white room, with a single bed and a small dresser. On the bed stand there was a vase with three long stem red roses, a card of some kind and leftover food on a plastic tray. There was a speaker on the wall and a phone too, but there was no one else around.
I had gone through a terrible accident and had butted heads with the law. I wasn't a swimmer and had been shipwrecked on what seemed to be a deserted island. I could remember feeling fear and discomfort in cold water. Then something hit me on my head and I woke up in the hos
I was a little weary as I read through the card.
'My sweet girl looked into the mirror and saw her twist of hair and knew she couldn't loose this hair, but as she tried new things, she realized she loved the new hairstyle and she loved the way it made her feel.
She then looked into her square shaped eyes and saw the new kind of person she had become, being able to smile, stand up, laugh, sleep and even sit down on her own.
She looked at her feet and saw herself and said "What have you done to me?"
"I'm forever changed, forever now."
She said to herself.
She then said out loud, but this time to no one, no one but the mirror."I saw myself smiling and laughing and looking forward to a new, different, and better me."
"I need to get up and get going and I need to learn how to love myself for this hair style and this new person I have become."
She then lifted herself up and look the man she had nearly died in an accident and said." My love for you has changed forever, but it's OK, you're still you. I'll always love you. You can't take that away from me."
She then stood up on her own and then walked down the hall to the restroom, after washing up and making sure she looked her best. She saw her mother and grandmother on the elevator waiting for her. The arm of her grandmother was out, completely, in that slot that you put your arm into. It looked like she had lost a big chunk of it and knew the doctors wanted to do something.
The hospital was helping her mother and grandmother get what they needed with their money, knowing that the two women had been robbed of what they had earned to support themselves and their daughter.
They hadn't been robbed of everything because the son that had done such a thing to the two women had never wanted the mother in his life. The son had been using money and at one point his own mother as something to make himself look good, to make himself feel important.
He always played with the women's minds and as the three women walked into the elevator, they didn't know the world and they didn't know what had happened, but they knew something was wrong and they knew they needed to get out of there and start the process to recover. They needed to start the fight to recover their bodies and their minds and their bank accounts.
Along the way of their walk to the bus, they saw a man. He was walking down the street.loving women he called mother and grandmother, thought he would rob them of every penny they had ever made to live on. He took their sleeping quarters and locked them out, with them being too nice to complain about it.
The scoundrel had come to the hospital to leave a box for the three of them. They were each allowed to take only one item in the box, with the box being locked and sealed.
