:))))))))) Interesting topic ! I never use swear words at home and make sure that they are not in the speech of my children. and it even brings results — when my daughter spoke some bad, rude word to me — she was obliged to name five synonyms that could replace this word by meaning. She grew up and now studies at the university as a journalist - she has a large vocabulary of words on any topic :)) I do not make horror if swear words are found in songs or films - this is an integral part of speech - but I ask children not to use them in their everyday speech . The truth in life is full of circumstances when it is impossible to express itself except as a couple of selected words :))

Hello and respect to your dad!

I was brought up not swearing but you know, life. I'm 50 years old now and still respect my dad for not swearing. He is in a nursing home with dementia now and rarely knows how I am. It's a bit sad.

It sounds like you raised your daughter well. Good on you.

Thank. I don’t know how well I bring up, I just try to do something that I consider important. I hope they come in handy. I can’t decide how their life will turn out and where will it lead them right?

I think a parent can only do the best they know how to do and it's all they can ask of themselves. If a parent does his or her best then the child is more likely to have some of the tools to use as they grow older and into adulthood themselves.
