Voxel Time Lapse: Cube Gator
You'll see that I made a big mistake on his tail, took a lot of backtracking. It also looks like I'm conducting surgery and dentistry on the gator dude. :) I'm working on getting better reference art, although this is 100% my creation, so I should have made a pre-sketch.
I was up late working on stuff...
Which is not so great. But I'm making room for more stuff... Which may or may not be so great. I won't have time this weekend to hunt wabbits and smash eggs, but I'm going to try to make some more digital nonsense ☺ I might not be around till monday, but on the bright side, I've been posting like crazy all of this week. Congratulate me! ☺MUSIC:

Some extras
A small commission for @heymattsokol. It's a video game character, but I don't know where it's from...

OMG! The Slime! Do you play dragon quest? I LOVE ITTTTTT
haha yes <3 that's exactly what it is!! @overkillcoin did an amazing job, I am hoping to get him to do a few more soon :-D
What are you using them for, anyway? :)
TOP SECRET :-P I'll show you soon in Discord :-D
I wanna play it!!!
I know, right! I wish I had game dev skills :D
I hope it's a Steem blog style game like the one I'm finishing playing in. Wacky fun. 😁
By the way, I'm sure you could figure it out. There's got to be a few game engines that are made simple by now. Seems like I would know, (I was a quality assurance game tester for 10 years with Disney) but I don't. Quake engine, Unreal engine? I probably sound old to some.
Don't you have a bunch of free time to figure out a game engine? (Jk)
Never played actually, but Matt S. must have, because he asked for the 3d model.
:)
ah I see! Well it's a super fun game, but I like it because it's created by same dragon ball author :)
I saw a game play, seems like an old game?
:D I need to continue this series ! There's plenty of other scenes to do.
It's fun to see your interperetation of the animals. This one almost looked like a different creature at this stage to me.
Somehow when I look at the gator I see it as a huge structure the size of a building
It would be a happier world if buildings looked like scary reptiles :D
Congratulations! Really great stuff this week! Its cool to see the voxels in action!
Thanks @otage, I'm still struggling to get efficient with voxels, but it's only been 8-9 days haha... I think it's important to have gotten the basics out of the way before focusing on speed and I'm just about there :D
Congratulations 😁
Thanks Dave! :D
That was so fun to watch! I love the process and he's cute.
Thanks, I'm glad you found this, I was going to notify you :)
It's a fun style and less of a headache than the detailed illustrations, so I'll probably make more.
Glad you stopped over! :)
Awesome video!
The last character is Kapitoshka I think :D It's a cartoon character ^^
Edit: I see from comments that you've seen the game so it's probs not Kapitoshka
IT's definitely in the Dragon Quest game, I saw it with my own eyes :D
Great work! I think the speed art idea is great. Happy Friday!
Not sure if you saw this, I've been trying to re-create this scene from an old animation I made:
The larger context is of law enforcement ignoring real dangers in favor of ticketing and otherwise micromanaging civilians... :D
Awesome! The eye patch guy is great!
Your time lapse videos always amaze me. I cant even make a perfect eye using digital arts. 😂😂😂 And it was entertaining to watch at the same time the beat of the background music keeps me excited. 😂 And was like watching you doing a surgery to the poor gator. Lol.
I know, I hope his back feels better by now :)
I think if you try and persist, you will eventually succeed :)
Wow wonderful work... I could not do something like that because so many pixels would drive me crazy.
More wonderful was that my Internet let me see the video hurray!!!
It's actually not too bad, after a bit of practice :)
I think you could, you'd be surprised!
If it can be, what software do you use to perform those jobs?
MagicoVoxels or something like that.
