Abstract painting. Blood flowers.

Friendly inspiration!

Do you know those moments when you are having a nice talk with someone? A deep talk perhaps, or a chat full with laughter. This painting I am showing today is inspired on a story told to me by a friend I hold dear to my heart. I asked this person permission to paint it as well because I would never want to hurt anyone by doing this.

The painting I am showing is abstract and I had the story on my mind the whole time. Every move I created on the canvas was because I told myself the story again and again to get it right! No, I am not going to tell the story behind it because it's not place to do so and I know that might take away a bit from this post but it is what it is. The privacy of my friends means more to me then words written in my posts.

for this painting I used a small canvas, 2 different colors of spay-paint, black and red aqrylic paint, a wooden paint stick you ise to stir the paint, and a roller you use to create prints.I also used a toothpick because why not! I started with the spray paint and scraped it over the canvas with the stir wood before letting it dry. Next step was to drip a few dods of black paint and to roll that over the canvas. Because I put lots of pressure at times it created nice white stripes. When that happens you kinda take paint away instead of adding it.

The red paint steps. I mixed some red paint with enough water to make it liquid enough to splatter. I jumped on my chair which caused me to have woobly elastic legs because I am scared of heights! I loaded my super brush with paint and just aimed in the hope it would land in the right places. You see, my aim is not always good! But it went all as planned. I waited a few minutes to give the red paint just a little time to dry before I used the toothpick to scratch through red paint.

Blood flowers!

That is the name for this painting and it might give away just a little about the story. But thats all I am going to say!
Have you ever made a drawing of painting because you got inspiration from a friend or family? I would love to see it! Just like me, you don't have to tell the story behind it!

Thank you so much for reading my post!

Best wishes

How big it Snekky? You need to write the rest of the story too.
