If you sell prints you should do limited editions, like 1/10, 3/10 etc etc. Traditionally, printmakers would make a certain number of prints and then destroy the matrix after, otherwise it's way harder to assign value to an artwork that you can make tons of copies of. I guess it's harder when your actual matrix is a really nice piece of wood and artwork in itself.

Sure! I've heard of that but it would be difficult to destroy the block of wood, so I was thinking after I was done making however many prints I decide on, I could encase it in a block of clear resin.
