Today again I wanted to draw fresh flowers.
Apparently, spring comes and flowers blossom not only on flower beds and lawns, but also in the thoughts and images of artists! :)
So, today I am drawing a sketch of a bouquet of white roses.
I want a weightless, fast, sonorous picture, so I chose water colors.
Let's go!
I take a sheet of watercolor paper and start painting!
From the head, without thinking of any flower composition.
I have the main flowers. It will be 3 white roses.
Doing the shadows of the petals, I give the flowers the shape and volume.
add a few leaves
I make translucent paint distant leaves and a more dense color draw those leaves that are closer to us.
a few small flowers to diversify and revive the bouquet
Now it's time for the background. I choose the sky blue.
In the spring, I really want a clear blue sky and more sunlight.

Wow these roses are really well painted. I'm practicing with watercolors too but I'm not really good at painting flowers, but now that I saw how you made it I want to try :)

This is beautiful! I just started painting using watercolors a couple of months ago. It is so rewarding. Learning to trust yourself with color is challenging, but I love it. Your post is very helpful explaining the creative process step-by-step. Very helpful! Thank you!

That's a nice outcome. I wish I had that little talent of working with brush and colors. I am good at pencil sketch but with colors and brush I fail :-(
