Theoretically the observable universe is around 70% dark energy. It seems highly unlikely that dark energy is the passed souls of every living thing that has ever been. Creepy as hell if you ask me. However I like to entertain strange possibilities. We do not know what dark energy is, but theoretically it is causing the universe to expand.
