Dies ist eine Ergänzung zum vorigen Post. Bezugnahme auf einen vorangegangenen Post ist vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache - deswegen möchte ich hier, sozusagen zu meiner Rechtfertigung, erst mal auf "die Seele" des Blogs eingehen.
"Blog" ist ein künstliches Wort, hervorgegangen aus einer Mißinterpretation des Ausdruckes "Weblog": so, wie man "ice-cream" auch als "I scream" hören kann, wurde "web-log" in "we blog" verwandelt und das Verb, wie es gerade im Englischen des öfteren vorkommt, gleich auch noch als Substantiv verwendet - schließlich "gab es vorher keines".
Das "Log" kennen wir ja vom "Logbuch" her, das bekanntlich Schiffe führen (wobei das "Sterntagebuch" der Enterprise diesem entspricht). Dieses Logbuch ist ein Dokument, in dem täglich alles aufgelistet wird, was das Schiff irgendwie betrifft. Also eine chronologische Anordnung, die folglich Kontinuität aufweist und Änderungen, wenn auch nicht unbedingt ausdrücklich, immerhin implizit zueinander in Verbindung setzt. Folglich darf ich das in meinem Blog auch. Behaupte ich mal; wer mir das Gegenteil beweisen will - gerne; ich will aber gleich dazusagen, daß ich genauso gerne mal etwas entgegen aller bekannten Regeln tu, denn "etabliert" ist keine Garantie für "gut und richtig" ;-)
So, zurück zum Bild. In der Zeit, die seit dem letzten Post vergangen ist, habe ich "Pausen" von dem Bild gefunden. Nicht solche, die man zwischen Phasen von Tätigkeit einlegt, sondern solche, wie Künstler sie manchmal benutzen, um Bilddaten zu übertragen bzw. vervielfältigen. Genau genommen ist hier der Ausdruck falsch verwendet, denn ich habe zwar "Pauspapier" (Transparentpapier) verwandt, es aber nicht gelöchert, wie es bei "richtigen" Pausen gemacht wird, um die Zeichnung vermittels Graphitstaub (je nach Bedarf werden auch andere Stäube benutzt) auf einen anderen Untergrund zu übertragen.
Allerdings wird auch eine Kopie, wie wir sie vor Zeiten des Kopierers manuell anfertigten, mit "Pauspapier" hergestellt, das man auf das Original legte und dann die durchscheinende Darstellung nachzeichnete - ohne Löcherung, also ist die Verwendung des Wortes nicht soooo daneben.
Ok, ich weiche schon wieder vom Thema ab.
Die Entwürfe, die ich gefunden habe, zeigen:
- den nördlichen Sternhimmel
- die Nordhalbkugel der Erde, vom Nordpol bis herab zum 70. Breitengrad
- eine Teilzeichnung der Iris für das Bild des "untersten Niveaus"
- eine Ansicht einer geplanten Skulptur, von oben
- eine Ansicht einer geplanten Skulptur, von vorne
und ich fand, es könnte dem einen oder anderen interessant erscheinen, etwas mehr über den Werdegang eines Bildes zu wissen, Vorgehensweisen eines Künstlers kennen zu lernen und von weiteren, mit dem Werk in Bezug stehenden Projekten zu erfahren (auch wenn diese letztendlich nicht verwirklicht wurden).
Außerdem habe ich ein Foto der Signaturen gemacht, die ich im Laufe meiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit verwendet habe und irgendwann auf einer Mappe aufgelistet habe, wovon ich ebenfalls im vorigen Post schon kurz geschrieben habe - ganz am Schluß.
Der Entwurf des Sternenhimmels paßte nicht ganz in den Scanner, deshalb habe ich ihn in zwei Gängen gescannt und diese nachträglich zusammengefügt - daher ein erkennbarer Helligkeitsunterschied zwischen zwei Hälften des Bildes.
Auf dem Entwurf der Nordhalbkugel ist nur Landmasse in Konturen gezeichnet, die Pupille liegt komplett "auf Eis" bzw. im Wasser. Hier habe ich die Stelle gekennzeichnet und dort auch die der Phase entsprechende Signatur einretuschiert, wo sie auf dem Foto des "obersten Niveaus" im vorigen Beitrag zu finden ist bzw. sein sollte. Man erkennt sie dort kaum, aber auf der Landkarte befindet sich an jener Stelle nur Meer, sodaß der Fleck meine Signatur sein muß (und ich kenne mich ja ein wenig und weiß, an welchen Stellen und auf welche Arten ich meine Signatur gelegentlich anbringe/verstecke).
Die beiden Ansichten der geplanten Skulptur zeigen in etwa, wie die kreisförmigen Darstellungen des Originalbildes untergebracht werden sollten; die Ansicht von oben soll nebenbei andeuten, wie sich die leicht hohl gewölbte Vorder- bzw. Innenseite der angedachten Skulptur (nach links, auf den Betrachter zu) neigt. Die Frontansicht läßt erahnen, welche Form die Skulptur haben sollte und wie ich mit dem Zement zu modellieren dachte.
Dazu kommt ein Foto von der Rohbauphase der Skulptur, wie sie letztendlich erstellt wurde - es wurde jedoch ein anderes Thema umgesetzt. Dieses Bild an erster Stelle, denn es erscheint mir für die Miniaturvorschau das am besten geeignete.
This is an addition to the previous post. References to a previous post may not be everyone's cup of tea - that's why I'd like to take a look at "the soul" of the blog, so to speak, for my defence.

We know the "Log" from the "Logbook", which ships keep. This logbook is a document in which everything concerning the ship is listed daily. In other words, a chronological order which consequently shows continuity and, although not necessarily explicit, implicitly links changes to each other. So I'm allowed to do the same on my blog. That's what I assert; if anybody wants to prove the opposite to me - gladly; but let me say right away that I just as well sometimes like to do something against all known rules, because "established" is no guarantee for "well done" ;-)
Well, back to the picture. In the time that has passed since the last post, I found tracings of the picture. In the german text, due to ambiguity, I describe here an artistic process of tracing, which consists of making a less detailed drawing on tracing paper, perforating it and then applying a dust contrasting in colour from the background, so that the contours are certainly copied.
Okay, I'm getting off the subject again.
The designs I've found show
- the northern starry sky
- the northern hemisphere of the earth, from the north pole down to the 70th degree of latitude
- a partial drawing of the iris for the image of the "lowest level".
- a view of a planned sculpture, from above
- a view of a planned sculpture, from the front
and I thought it might seem interesting to some to know a little more about the development of a painting, to learn about an artist's approach and to find out about other projects related to the work (even if they were not realized in the end).
I also took a photo of the signatures I used in the course of my artistic activity, which at some point I listed on a folder, issue of which I also briefly wrote in the previous post - at the very end.
The design of the starry sky didn't quite fit into the scanner, so I scanned it in two steps and put them together afterwards - hence a recognizable difference in brightness between two halves of the image.
On the design of the northern hemisphere land mass is drawn in contours only, the pupil is completely "on ice" or in the water. On this picture I marked the place, and also inserted the signature corresponding to the time, where it can or should be found on the photo of the "highest level" in the previous post. You can hardly recognize it there, but on the map there is only sea at that point, so that the blurry spot has to be my signature (and I know myself a little and know where and how I occasionally place/hide my signature).
The two views of the planned sculpture show approximately how the circular representations of the original picture should be accommodated; the view from above should also indicate how the slightly hollow front or inside of the intended sculpture bends (to the left, towards the observer). The front view gives an idea of the shape the sculpture should achieve and how I planned to shape with the cement.
In addition, there is a photo of the rough construction phase of the sculpture as it was finally created - but a different theme was implemented. This image comes first, because it seems to me to be the most suitable one for the thumbnail preview.
Esto es una adición a la entrada anterior. Las referencias a un post anterior pueden no ser del agrado de todo el mundo - por eso me gustaría echar un vistazo al "alma" del blog - al fin y al cabo para mi justificación.
"Blog" es una palabra artificial derivada de una mala interpretación de la expresión "weblog": así como "icecream" también puede escucharse como "I scream", "web-log" se transformó en "we blog" y el verbo, como ocurre bastante en inglés, también se usó como sustantivo - ya que "no había ninguno antes".
Los alemanes y los ingleses conocemos el "log" por el "logbuch" o "logbook" que guardan los barcos - en español se llama "cuaderno de bitácora" (y desgraciadamente, así no se ve la relación con el "log"). Este cuaderno de bitácora es un documento en el que se anota diariamente todo lo que concierne al buque. En otras palabras, un orden cronológico que, en consecuencia, muestra continuidad y, aunque no necesariamente explícito, vincula implícitamente los cambios entre sí. Así que me permito hacer lo mismo en mi blog. Es lo que afirmo; ahora, si alguien quiere demostrarme lo contrario - con mucho gusto, pero quiero decir ya de antemano que de vez en cuando también me gusta hacer algo en contra de todas las reglas conocidas, porque "establecido" no es garantía de "bien hecho" ;-)
Bueno, volvamos a la foto. En el tiempo que ha pasado desde el último post, he encontrado calcos de la imagen. En el texto alemán, debido a la ambigüedad, describo aquí un proceso de calco artístico, que consiste en hacer un dibujo poco detallado sobre papel de calco, perforarlo y luego aplicar un polvo que contrasta en color con el fondo, para que se copien los contornos, por así decirlo.
Vale, me estoy saliendo del tema otra vez.
Los dibujos que he encontrado muestran
- el cielo estrellado del norte
- el hemisferio norte de la tierra, desde el polo hasta el grado 70 de latitud
- un dibujo parcial del iris para la imagen del "nivel más bajo".
- una vista de una escultura planeada, desde arriba
- una vista de una escultura planeada, desde el frente
y pensé que podría parecer interesante para algunos saber un poco más sobre el desarrollo de un cuadro, aprender sobre el proceder de un artista y conocer otros proyectos relacionados con la obra (aunque al final no se hayan realizado).
También tomé una foto de las firmas que utilicé en el transcurso de mi trabajo artístico y que en algún momento agrupé en el exterior de una carpeta, tema que toqué brevemente en el post anterior, al final.
La hoja con el cielo estrellado no cabía del todo en el escáner, así que lo escaneé en dos pasos y los junté después - de ahí una diferencia notable de brillo entre dos mitades de la imagen.
En el diseño del hemisferio norte dibujé la masa de tierra solo en contornos, la pupila está completamente "sobre hielo" o en el agua. En esa imagen marqué el lugar y coloqué la firma correspondiente a la fase, donde dse encontraría en la foto del "más alto nivel" del post anterior. Apenas se puede reconocer allí, pero en el mapa sólo hay mar en ese punto, por lo que la mancha borrosa en el sitio debe ser mi firma (y me conozco un poco a mí mismo y sé dónde y cómo de vez en cuando pongo/oculto a mi firma).
Las dos vistas de la escultura proyectada muestran aproximadamente cómo se iban a acomodar las representaciones circulares de la imagen original; la vista desde arriba también indica cómo se inclina el frente ligeramente hueco, o interior de la escultura proyectada (hacia la izquierda, en dirección al observador). La vista frontal da una idea de la forma que debería tener la escultura y cómo pensaba modelar con el cemento.
Además, hay una foto de la fase de obra bruta de la escultura como finalmente fue creada - pero un tema diferente fue implementado. Coloco esta imagen al principio, porque me parece la más adecuada para la miniatura de vista previa.
