I like to work with natural materials and I like golems. My love of stones and steel makes me want to combine things in the sculpting. I was practicing stone work but working on a plain stone is not fun, isn't it? So I want to make a golem. I made couple of them before I wanted to try something different but similar , yet still different :D does that make sense?

I still suck at faces but i'll practice more on that later. Although this is a golem and made out of stone, I still need to somewhat place logical muscular system on this beast. Otherwise it won't make sense when you look at it, it would look like pile of stones with a head. overall anatomy does not need to be perfect since its not a flexible material like our muscle but general shapes are necessary.

In this perspective you can see the elbow and leg muscles more easily. Shoulders and back muscles also. Again this is to give life to this creature while still maintaining the though stone look. This is no a finished piece but rather an exercise to practice stonework on characters.
I stream at twitch regularly and you can follow me there and we can have a live chat !
I also have a Patreon page, if you like what I do and want to support me by 1 $ a month you can become a patron. Almost all my 3d sculpts are available at Myminifactory I share my exclusive models only to my patreon supporters.
And I have created a new Discord If you would like to join and have a chat.

And for the curious folks among you, this is how the model started. It is a pre-made Zphere model I adjusted and use it as a base mesh. Lots of work goes into this before it looks anything good. I'll practice more zphere in the future.
In any case thank you for being here , see you next time.
I accidently posted this in my blog and deleted minute later to post here, if anything comes up let me know and i try to fix it
Nice!
Thanks!

Do golems even have muscles that you need to worry about? :D well it looks very rock like which is probably want you want and the anatomy makes it look cooler :)
I was thinking the same when I first started sculpting weird monsters @ryivhnn , I thought to myself whatever, these creatures are weird, no need to worry about anatomy . BUT.. in the end even the most weird looking creatures based on real animals. It has to be, otherwise it wont make sense to our human eyes.
I don't think it has to be based on real animals (though it helps), it just has to make sense in terms of the creature.
