Inktober 2019 Day 2 - Mindless

in #art6 years ago

#Inktober is really taking off across Steem this year. To be honest I am a total beginner at this compared to some of the really good artists we have here. Go out and give them some support. This is the sort of great content we need. When I saw the prompt my first thought was to draw myself with my brain removed, but @katharsisdrill has done this so much better than I could. He also referenced our slavery to modern technology as @michael.dime has too. So I went with empty thoughts instead. I worked from a selfie. I always struggle to get noses and lips right. Really messed up the nose this time, so I look a little 'piggy'. Never mind, it's about the moment and I shall move on.

Great job! I notice that a lot of your drawings are done with short strokes. Is that just your style or because of the issues with your hand?

I've not thought about that. It's just the way they come out so far. I guess it takes some confidence in your drawing to do longer longer lines. My hand makes it harder to control the pen.

Hey @steevc I think something went wrong with the program at @steemauto and it started flagging randomly. I have removed as many of the wrong downvotes as I can and stopped using the process.

What was it doing? I am not following any downvote trails. I prefer to be in control of mine, but I welcome the support I have had. I just have to be very sure that anything I downvote really deserves it.

I was just following what you, slobberchops, crokkon and enforcer flagged but the app just went bonkers and flagged randomly lol. I knew that you 4 guys had never thrown a bad flag that I could remember. So I was going to use the new downvote feature. @mahdiyari Said it is fixed and it only flagged one day wrongly. lol I will wait before I re institute it.
