This picture I have taken in Florence last summer somehow reminds me of the following quote, from a game I'd played in the past:
"To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic." [Ezio Auditore da Firenze from the Video Game Assassin's Creed]
What do you think about it?
Most of the people playing that game know this quote as "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." which sounds quite anarchic. However, I like this extended version of it, which is quite thought-provoking.
Also, yes, it was a beautiful coincidence that the bird was at the right place, at the right time, with its wings up in the air! :)
Much prefer the extended version! It has more hope :)
I agree, Hanna! :)
