LOOK WHAT I FOUND - CAN WE KEEP IT?
When I returned to my native Austria in 2011, after a absence of well over 40 years where I braved the Winters in Canada (and enjoying the all too short Summers), a new surge of creativity was inspired by being close to my all-time idols of the Vienna School of Fantastc Realism; in particular Ernst Fuchs who had a studio in the same building (the Palais Palffy) as did I until 2014. In fact we were backdoor neighbors then, and I had a key to his studio to be able to assist him at times (not with painting, but just being there when he needed help).
During these years, and particularly in 2012 when the drawing below was done, my main output were graphic works.
Harking back to my 'Scare the Neighbors' phase in the eighties, I produced a number of surreal/fantastic works depicting creatures from my 'Inner Universe'.
