I made this oil painting on paper a while back and thought it would be a good idea to share it before it gets lost in the attic. I hope you can look past the poor image quality and lighting of the picture. I am currently traveling and don't have access to a better image.
I guess sone of you art lovers will immediately see the influence of Bob Ross in this drawing. It was in fact the first painting I tried out in which I wanted to copy the style he used for drawing the sea. However, there are also some abstract elements as I wanted to add sone depth to it.
There are at least three layers which should add some depth and some mystery. I guess the idea was to question our sense of reality: is there a deeper, more fundamental reality as such if you start to peel away some of the layers which perhaps obstruct our true sense of reality?
What do you think about our sense of reality? Is there one true version of it or just many different, subjective perceptions of it?
