This is a subject matter that comes from an e-book I wrote and am giving away for free on my website Nwudo.com.
There is no question that people will pay to be entertained.
I believe that comic strips are a cheap and easy way to entertain people.
In fact, I once made my own comic strip in less than an hour using Microsoft Paint.

I made the following video today explaining how and why anyone (but specifically Africans) should start their own comic book business today!
In addition to what was said in the video, I would like to add that:
- Some of us get intimidated by the idea of telling a story, because we think we need an entire TV show or an animated series.
- Comic strips can be a cheap and effective way to get your message/story to the public.
- If you are a really good artist, or have a story with mass appeal, you could probably sell your comic strips and/or artwork to magazines and newspapers for money!
I hope this article encourages people to go out there and use their talents.

It's a pity we didn't get to enjoy African comics as kids but thankfully, people are changing that for the next generation of kids on the continent.
