RE: Warm Pastures - A Minimalist Digital Painting

in #art7 years ago (edited)

@thecryptofiend - Ahh. The warm orange gray-brown hues are back! I like them better than the pink sunset hues you used in the earlier painting. The minimalist approach works best because the beauty of the colors and formations of light/cloud is enhanced by lack of form A surreal beauty is always realized through an overall perspective without definitive forms in my opinion when it comes to landscapes. You have achieved the desired effect. I would have liked it better if the brownish cloudscape in the middle of the frame had not extended all the way to the right. However, it is a fantastic picture. As I said, your Artrage pictures inspired me to try my hand at it and I have reinstalled it on my iPad. It feels great because it is almost like touch/finger painting. However, I have not yet produced anything blog-worthy!

Therefore, I continued my observations of nuggets of wisdom from wildlife and wrote a blog 'Dueling Duo - How Impalas manage conflict' with my wildlife photos and musings with a twist. I would be honored if you to take a look at it when you have time. Your comments, as always, would be an encouragement and incentive for me to make better blogs. Thanks
