I wont be able to finish these painting this weekend. I am going to New York city on a visit for the first time, with @echo-bat.

Here are some close up's of the layering with acrylic paint that has gone down on top of the color that you see in the first painting. (the peach and the lavender)

Are you using masking fluid between color washes? My kid lives in LA and graffiti's in the train yards. Here is a pic of his NY work years ago-pre 9/11!

masking fluid ? ive never heard of that. ive been using masking tape, and using an exacto knife to meticulously trim it. wow cool photo thanks for aharing and thanks for the good vibes!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you- masking fluid is a white liquid that acts similar to rubber cement. You apply it to your surface where you want it to stay the same color or white. Let it dry thoroughly. Then paint and the masked area will not accept the wash. Make sure to remove the masking fluid as soon as your paint dries. It may take a little while to master the skill however bets the heck out of exacto holes in the paper! I use Windsor Newton which comes in a slightly yellow tinge so you can see where you have applied it. Try it.

wow awesome man thank you

Wow , this is quite interesting. I love these and hope to see it when it’s finished
