I got a 3D Pen for a gift! Any suggestions what should I create?

in #art7 years ago (edited)

HEYOOO my dear creative Steemians. Hope you're having a great day!

Today I've been surprised by my sister. She bought me a FOREVER FunLine 3D Pen. I was so happy that I needed to share it with you as soon as I can! I always dreamed to have something like this, to draw in the air. Imagine what we invented, we can draw 3D! That is so amazing to me, I can't wait to start creating something.

I bought one extra pack of colored filaments so I can have more freedom in creating. First thing I did is this mouse cable holder haha :D I needed this for a long time and always wanted to buy it, but never got funds or time to do it. Now, I created this with a 3D pen, and it's just a quick creation just to see how it feels like to draw in the air!

Now, I don't have an idea what to do next and I was hoping you can help me? Feel free to give me some suggestions what should I create for start. I'm not saying that I'm gonna create anything you say, but if I see something interesting that I'm able to create, I will try it, really! (Pics below)

I like the fact that the manual is really easy to read, so I think there will be no problem with handling the 3D pen. It's a great thing that this pen has small LED display for easier handling and showing some crucial information. WIth the pen, you also get a charger with USB cable and 3 small colored filaments (red, green, blue).

For start, the idea that you can do almost anything you want is kinda baffling me :D When you have so many possibilities, you can't choose. But, don't worry, you will find something to create. That's the nature of art, just wait if you don't have an idea now ;)

This pen needs to be connected to a charger when you're creating something, and I really don't like that, but it seems that is the only minus, so it's all cool. At least, it's polite and it says Welcome every time you turn the Pen on! When the Pen is ON, you need to press the filament button. The pen will start to heat itself up to the temperature you indicated before. Watch out for the tip of the Pen when it's heated!

After the Pen is at its working temperature, just insert the filament you want. You can adjust the speed of a filament feed. And you're ready to create. It's hard for the beginning to grasp this feeling, but once you get used to it for a bit, you will love it. It's such an amazing feeling to create something and this is the perfect way to do it!

As I said it at the beginning of my post, I created a mouse cable holder. For all gamers and people that don't like cables, this is a perfect solution. I needed this and luckily I thought that I could create this and see what happens. I must say, I am amazed!! No more cable problems! And, what is more than good, is that the structure of the holder is not that hard so it can bend, but it won't break. So, I am really satisfied with my first quick creation. Let's see what's next in line...

At first sight, I thought this was a pregnancy test! I've never seen one of those though :)

Can't wait to see some artwork from this!

Hahaha! Pregnancy test xD Now that you mentioned it, it really looks like :D A modern one haha!

I need to see what to create, I've been browsing the internet what to do and there are so many awesome things out there.

LOL, that is what i was thinking as well.

haha :D calm down all xD

Wow that looks like it will be really fun - I don't have any suggestions but I would love to see what you do with it :)

Yes it is! I enjoyed creating this mouse cable, but it was just to see how it feels like. I must say it's not easy.

Thanks for stopping by, Luka ;)

I like your 3D pen. Never seen anything like this before. It looks pretty cool. I'm thinking you might be able to draw some flowers..different color including grass and put it in a little holder. It might look cute and your sister might like it.
Good luck. Have fun.

Check me out over on Platforms Discord https://discord.gg/TJMWMVD, you might find better ideas for your pen from other members there, and you might earn some Platforms tokens, SBI or free votes for just talking.

Maybe I can try some flowers for fun :D sounds great. Thanks for the suggestion.

Have a great day

I'd love to see what that pen could do. I'm not sure how it really works. Would love to see your work. ^^

That mouse holder looks cool as well. :)

I'm excited to create something new, can't wait for it! Thanks a lot ;)

Please do share so I can check it out. :)

I scrolled really fast only to see the photos and i stopped at the mouse photo: No way?! He created a mouse shell by hand?! =)

After reading i saw that you created the cable holder :D The pen looks super cool, but i doubt i would share my creations because i am super UNTALENTED artist :D

Looking forward to your creations tho.

Good to know that you're still with us @poss. :D

Hahaha, still no shell :D I needed this cable holder so that was the thing I decided to do for the first time. It's really strange to use this pen, but with some practice, I will get that feeling.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day ;)

Pretty cool! I always wanted one since I saw a video of 3d pens.. but if you ask me what I should make with it.. clueless :) so I am very curious what your creations will be :) have fun with it!

Exactly, I wanted this so much and now that I have it, so much possibilities and I can't decide :D :D haha It will be fun!

I totally understand :) I would have the exact same thing lol.. but I will be watching your posts, because I am damn curious what you will be making with it.. I did not know the filling comes in little wraps like these .. learned something new by seeing your photo's lol..

Yes, and I needed to buy a bigger pack, 'cause it's going away pretty fast :D

Are these expensive? That's one of the things why I did not want to buy one in early stages, because I assumed the filling would be so expensive at first.. maybe that has changed by now?

They are not that expensive, but I don't have money so almost everything is expensive for me xD hahaha :D

I'm thinking to create something about Steemit, but still thinking what that could be.. Maybe a logo or something :D

such a curious device.... I would be so messy with it... I know how to paint on 2d but whenever trying to do anything on the third dimension I usually fail hahaha :) maybe it would be good pratise. Nice gift!

Practice makes perfect! It's weird but it can be done ;)

Thanks for stopping by :D

I have never seen one of those pens on my country! But its looks like something really creative to have! Hope you drawcreate something amazing with it!

Thanks a lot, I also hope the next creation will turn out o be good ;)

Now this looks like a lot of fun. Makes me wish I could draw! I'll look forward to seeing what you do with it.

I'm not that good of a drawer but drawing 3D is very weird, I hope practice will make me better :D

Wow I would love to have a play around with a 3D pen.

Hehe I know! It's such a fun!!! :D
