No it is not, see some of us have brought money in steemit, for example i have 4000 SP each of my votes at full power gives about 40 to 50 cents.
Now imagine when you have 40.000 it is 4 to 5 SBD, those who have 400.000. You get my point :)
Now these people with lots of SP usually use it to setup projects and tools for the community and for helping people that is starting (because the more we are here, the more the STEEM is worth.
I'm a kinda new user, but took the time to understand the dynamics of the site and how the internal economy works.
Most of those posts worth 300$ are powerful guys voting others so they can realize the projects they are bringing to sustain growth and adoption of steemit.
There are some that are just doing it for the money but forget about them, this place is what we want to make it to be.
We can copy all that is wrong from the real world like some people are doing or we can get inspired and create way to provide a means of earning their lives to many people in the biggest collaborative enterprise ever created
It is our choice...
Only our imagination is the limit!
I beleive in this and i am doing whatever i can to make it work... You know what is the most gratifiying reward i receive?
I have found here people that thinks like me and we are working as a team in several projects.
I've made mistakes i've done right things... But i have concentrated into building human links, this is what steemit is about.
Check the #Untalented contest by @surpassingoogle is hosting (I hope it is still ongoing) check the work of the security and anti scam teams... Here everyone has something to offer and we just need to find our role and thrive and share.
Honestly! I just became a witness to help build the network and to help the Venezuelans community prospers, we hang around the #castellano tag (only Spanish posts) we are building something together.
A witness not only cares about the network and the blockchain, we are responsible for making users like you come and find what they can bring here giving is what works... Here we mine ideas not blocks on the blockchain.
Check the works of @patrice on her blog... We all have a role, we all belong here if we choose to do so.
I don't know where are you in the world but i am sure somewhere in those 277 followers there is someone that will find your ideas worthy! Share them on your blog, try in your language (put an English version so i can enjoy them too ;) )
Put pictures of your city/ village share your corner of the world with us, with them!
But for that you need to stop trying to copy paste / spin what you see works for others... you gotta find what works for you and be happy while you are doing it!
