My posts will be about my research life: the projects I dream about, the challenges I face and the accomplishments and setbacks I have as I commence my career as a researcher.
I am joining PhD program in Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology, New York this fall. My interests lie in computer vision and artificial intelligence and I expect to get involved in very challenging research projects in the days to come.
As I go through my life as a PhD student, I will create tons of posts expressing my personal emotions, both positive and negative. On top of that, I will also be posting about exciting ideas and ongoing projects in the field of computer vision.
My hope is that all kinds of readers will have at least something to take away from these posts.
PhD students and researchers will get to read about the the joy and frustrations of a fellow research student. Artificial Intelligence enthusiasts will get to read about cutting-edge research ideas in AI. And everyone else will get to read about the thought process and life of an aspiring scientist.
It is rather easy to connect the dots looking backwards, but the real challenge in life is to choose among the dots we currently have and connect them one by one to reach our dreams. By expressing my emotions and ideas as they happen to me, I will be giving a live demo of how I orchestrate my dots.
Now, will these dots lead me to my dreams? Only time will tell!
