Curators critique: With this photography from the coldest parts of this world the photographer created a realistic feeling. It's not just a capture of a short moment but also from a whole feeling. I especially liked how the photographer sharpened the main part of the image (the ice floe) and blurred the hill. Also the slope of the image makes it feel more realistic.
