Hi Steemians, i want to share with you about a delicacy called 'Afang Soup' its a favourite among the natives of Akwa ibomites and Cross Riverians in the southern par of Nigeria, West Africa. It is very nutritious and easy to prepare.

The Ingredients needed to prepare Afang Soup:-

  • About 300g of sliced Afang leaves
    *200g of sliced water leaves
    *30cl of red palm oil
    *Beef and Dry Fish
    *2 tablespoon of Crayfish
    *Salt and Pepper to tast
    *2Pcs of Maggi Cubes
    *Perewinkle( preferably)
    *Onions

Cooking Directions:-

Boil the Beef with diced onions, add maggi cubes in a very small quantity of water, when done, add the dry fish and cook for about 5 more minutes,

Now add the palm oil, crayfish and pepper, once it starts boiling add the Affang leaves, add the sliced water leaves and perewinkles leave for a few minutes,

When the affang leaves haves softened and the water has dried up a bit, add salt to taste and leave to simmer for about 5 minutes..

Holla the Afang soup is ready!!!

Served with Garri(Eba) Cassava fufu(Amala)
