The most difficult thing for me in drawing is to achieve similarity with the original. Sometimes it seems that all the lines of the preliminary sketch are set correctly and everything should be perfect, but no, someone seems to be the wrong person. At that moment, I just quit painting and get distracted by something else. After a while, I come back and start everything again, and I already see the nuances that should be corrected in order to get this long-awaited similarity. It is very important to keep the right proportions. Sometimes the eyes or other facial features will draw the correct shape, but a little more or less than they should be. Then you have to wipe everything off with an eraser and start drawing over and over again, moving millimeters in the right direction. And only when you find out on the sketch of the person you are painting, then at that moment we can assume that the main thing has been done.
Then follows a pleasant work on drawing details, applying shadows, colors, strokes, which, although it requires a lot of time, but almost does not require corrections. I like this moment in drawing the most.
