If it were purely by your opinions alone, I'd probably have developed an immediate interest in Astrology with the way this was succinctly put. Had to read it twice to grasp it a little
I can't say I agree with everything you've said though. In a way having predetermined beliefs does make us illogical, but astrology itself neither provides answers nor does it have a belief system of its own.
It seeks to provide an understanding of the Universe through science, logic patterns, but it doesn't give answers
Answers are still things we figure for ourselves, and right or wrong is largely determined by us. So a predetermined belief may not make us stupid as you say, it may just be simplifying the answer burden that still arises from an understanding of patterns
