People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude. (John Maxwell)

This is something we have all experienced. Someone might tell you that everything is fine, everything is okay, and that there is peace... but you know that it is far from the truth. The attitude of the person tells you something completely different!

Yesterday, I went to a running competition for kids and at the competition for 3-4 year old kids, most of them ran by themselves. But, someone ran with their parents and just before the goal, a father almost picked up his kid and dragged the kid so that they got in first (and not second). So, the sole runner ended up second because the father dragged his own kid in to the first place. There was some discussion in the end, and the mother of the one ending second said it is okay... but also said it shouldn't happen again. I totally agree with her, and a part of her attitude is that, it's okay, but it wasn't fair!

Her words said one thing, but her attitude clearly stated something else. In this situation, that was fair.

But, you also have situations in which you make a mistake, and you ask for forgiveness, but the other person might say okay, but they are angry with you and still don't want to look at you. The attitude says something different than your words.

And it is important to know that people feel your attitude. What is your attitude telling people? Is your attitude helping or discouraging people?
