Thank goodness for the Internet. As bad as YouTube is, there is so much value there. I found all the information I needed to do that whole job on YouTube.

What a time to be alive.

Now we have tech like Hive and all sorts of open source stuff... Good times.

Sort:

Open source is the entire mission of my brand :)
And yes Youtube is an invaluable resource.

But, as someone who got to grow up with the wild west of the internet, and without smart-phones or social-media consuming people. I often think about how different things could be without the internet. I think it's driving mental-illness and a lot of negative trends.

That is true. Like many things, there are certainly good things and bad. We need to learn how to live with it. This is so new to us still and its changing so fast.

Yeah there's no going back now. It's the phones mostly though.
I was resistant to getting a cell phone long after everyone I knew had them(flip and feature phones back then).
My father had an iPhone years before I got one even. And I still don't use my phone as much as everyone else does. I still prefer a computer to a phone, and so when I'm out of my home I'm not constantly on my phone because I can't devote attention to it when I'm out doing things with people. But the people around me are stuck in their phones. If I were at a restaurant looking around it's tables full of people looking at their phones.
