Transmission Issue Update

in #automotive3 months ago

I've now put over two hundred miles on it since I did the flush mentioned in my last post. If I drive it slow and baby it it actually shifts really nice. But if I drive it hard at all I still have the same issues as before.

So I know this transmission is on borrowed time and I need to replace it as soon as I can.

Back in 2012 I pulled a non-turbo engine and transmission out of another wagon. It's been sitting in my backyard covered up fully sealed since then. When I had purchased it that had supposedly been rebuilt and I had put on less than 20,000 miles.

So I separated that old engine and transmission and drain the fluid from it. And it still came out looking pretty good despite its age. So I cleaned it up and in the process of pulling out my old one and put it in the new. It is fighting me every step of the way though.
