Bangladesh win the first one-day series outside the country after nine years after Tamim hit the bat. Tamim, who scored 103 not out in the first ODI, scored an unbeaten 130 in the first ODI, against West Indies. In the second ODI, another innings of 54 runs.
Tamim has taken four points in the number-one ranking of 11. The left-hander was the fifth best place to date in this opening.
Shakib Al Hasan, who had a good run in the series with bat, has moved up three places to 26. Left-arm spinner du Plessis took two wickets in the all-rounders' innings of 97, 56 and 37 runs. Twenty-three bowlers have also been behind in the rankings. The all-rounder has held the top spot.
