2020 is the International Mother Language Martyrs Day in Bangladesh

February 21 is our National Day.The nation remembers the day as a mourning day. The day is of great importance in our national life. On this day in 1952 , some heroic sons of the soil sacrificed their lives for establishing Bangla as its rightful place. For their supreme sacrifices we got the recognition of our mother tongue.The government, different organizations and institutions arrange programmes to celebrate the day. People of all sections of our country bring out procession. They put on black badge on their clothes.Hundreds of people walk on bare-foot দgather in front of the Shaheed Minar with flowers, garlands. They go there to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs. On going there they offer flowers on the Shaheed Minar.
