RE: #7 in SteemBasicIncome Upvotes Drive

in #basicincome6 years ago

My experience with SBI has been that it isnt really worth the 1 steem they ask for. I noticed that the vote i recieved actually decreased after i sponsored more people into the program. started with .06 now my posts earn .02 or less per @sb2 upvote.

their program is a valiant attempt at basic income but what is the point if the income is pittances? Value is a major issue with basic income in crypto, we need programs that provide value to the people, not novelties. it nice to call yourself a basic income program but if the income you provide is miniscule then it isn't helping anything or anyone...

let face it paying 1 steem could get you a delegation from @neoxian of 115 sp for a week which would increase your vote by 0.02 on ecery post and comment you decide to upvote. meanwhile, SBI is on a slidingscale and has diminishing returns.

it is all fine and dandy they have a friendly community but lets not fake like this @steembasicincomeprogram is great, because its not. the program is supposed to help supplement income but it fails at that endeavor. Ite would be more aptly named steembasicupvotes...

Mannabase on the otherhand has alot of potential. There is alot of room to grow the platform and people are eager to take part which means the value of the coins will likely increase. You guys are foing a great job as a real basic income program, I just think you should avoid promoting a program that dosent actually help users in growing their profiles.

feel free to show me proof of their usefulness as a basic income program for i have participated and not seen any help from its use.

You're blaming steembasicincome for general decline in STEEM prices? When the program started, STEEM was at close to 10 and now it's at 2.50.

The most important factor in upvote value is Steem prices. But check your original posts against your current posts and see if your rshares from steembasicincome have decreased. That's the only way to isolate the merit of your comment.

And don't forget to factor for your posting frequency, because SBI shares are valued on weekly basis to deliver consistent value independent of posting frequency.
