A very in depth look at a complex issue. I just wonder how interpersonal economics would change if everyone had a basic income .. how would it impact the rental market for example .. or food costs. I agree that welfare is problematic, considering, for example, how the system is gamed in West Virginia and elsewhere so drug addicts trade welfare stamps for money to buy drugs. But then again wouldnt such people just plow through their basic income each month .. perhaps you addressed some of these concerns in the piece which I have only glanced over ...
