Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
Delegation Bonus Shares
Existing members can receive bonus shares from delegation. For every 25 SP delegated to @steembasicincome, members will receive 1 bonus share. These bonus shares will be removed if the delegation is withdrawn. Currently each share in pool 1 receives a weekly voting weight of roughly 2.63%.

Any Steemian that is already enrolled in @steembasicincome can delegate as much as they would like, to receive bonus shares. If you are not already a member but would like to delegate, please send an enrollment transaction to @steembasicincome and we will add your bonus shares at the time we process your enrollment.
We appreciate the members that take us up on this, and will provide updates highlighting our member-provided delegation, so that you will know who to thank.

I'm still working on getting a slider, one day I'll be able to delegate sp.
Does anyone know, if someone gets delegated 500sp, would they get a slider? Or are sliders only give on earned SP?
I'm quite sure you get a slider when you have 500SP+ delegated. It would not make any sense to have a huge amount of SP delegated and only be able to give out 100% votes. On the other hand, It also does not make any sense for the amount needed for the slider to be fixed at 500SP. It used to be 500$ now it's ~2000$ worth.

Yes, they would get a slider. I've had delegated since I was a new minnow and had a slider. If you use chainbb you can use the integrated slider.

One of these days when i finally power up a decent amount ill definitely delegate to the cause. Until then I'll keep sponsoring other steemians bc I truly believe in what yall stand for. My goal is to sponsor 1 steemian per week until then. Cheers !!

I can't remember if # of upvotes includes upvoting on comments or are you just counting on posts
For bonus weight, we look at all upvotes on @steembasicincome (comments and posts).
That allows members to still reach their monthly goal of 28 when we are unable to get out an update every single day.
Ok good. Thanks for the info. I've got the autovote thing taking care of posts but I can spend more time on the abundance of comments then to boost my weight.

I love experiment, but still trying to get my head around how the longevity can be sustained. If the leased delegations were eventually replaced with donated delegations and of course account steem power, would that help the longevity of the programme?
That's the intent. Leased delegation are eventually replaced with donated delegation from members, and from growing Steem Power in the account.

I'm really surprised that my 200sp delegation puts me so high on the list. Come on peeps, start delegating!
I think the program is more attractive to minnows, and they don't have as much SP to delegate.

We increased the reward for delegation to make it a little more attractive. Now you get 10 bonus shares from your 200 instead of only 8!

No worries. I recommend everyone to target 500 SP first... and then always keep 500 SP after delegation, so that they can use the slider!

No, but you won't get any personal benefit from your delegation until your registration is completed.
We recommend keeping at least 500 SP in your account so that you can continue to use the slider.
