How difficult it is to know that the long-awaited Olympic games are finally approaching and that one of the disciplines that you like the most, your country does not manage to qualify.
It happened to me, after so much waiting, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will finally take place and as many of you already know, basketball is one of my favorite sports. A little more than three weeks ago, the team began its preparation to participate in the pre-Olympic race, played several friendly matches, leaving a good image, making us dream of the great classification.
His first adversary was the difficult Lithuania, the debut of the team was a painful defeat, the Lithuanians were superior, but there was still a game against South Korea, here Venezuela won, he played his best game, he managed to beat the Koreans, qualifying well to the semifinals.
Qualifying as second in the group, unfortunately he had to dance with the ugliest, (I term that we use to say that he will go against the most difficult) Slovenia commanded by Luka Doncic, despite the defensive efforts of the Venezuelans they could not beat the champions of the Eurobasket, thus being out of the Olympic games.
How sad it is to know that my team will not be there playing against the greatest on the planet, and more like when you have a spirit as competitive as mine, that I like to face the greatest without fear.
I will have to do the same as in the NBA, watch the games without supporting any of them since my favorite is not there.
Wow... thats a painful miss. I am sure they will try next time to meet up so as to in the tournament
