A bushland walk on a Sunday

Change is as good as a holiday they say was my thinking when I suggested a visit to one of the local botanical gardens. There are several around the Sunshine Coast, it was time to visit one since we had been living here for over 6 years. Sensibly we chose the Maroochydore Bushland Botanical that is located not too far away. What we found was a fabulous mixture of art and nature on at least a 100 hectares.

The bushland gardens made for a most pleasant #beautifulSunday. It was very easy to stroll along the paths in between the green trees and bracken ferns. There were a number of options for walkers to stroll or briskly walk along. We chose to wander as there was so much to look at.

It was a place full of entertainment, it must had been be a lot of fun for the creators of the art work and environmental planners, gardeners etc to design these gardens. Children, teenagers, adults young and old all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

There were educational components that kept us interested as we read and looked through little openings to check out the trees and the plants. I could see teachers and students of all ages on excursions to these gardens.

Here is a Rose Gum and I must confess I had not heard of this type of gum tree.

The use of river rocks and boulders made for both a practical and picturesque effect.

There really was a huge diversity of pieces that created a most eclectic environment for the visitors to enjoy. Like, here is a water bowl just sitting in the bushland and just around the bend we saw this this humpy positioned peacefully in between the trees.

Then there as the artwork, such a variety kept us intrigued as we kept walking. It was hard not to keep walking because around every bend something new and completely different was found.

We were so impressed that we decided that we would be back again to enjoy the combination of amazing nature and man's creative artwork again. Would you believe that we did not get to see all the Maroochydore Botanical Bushland Gardens?

Thank you @ace108 for organising #beautifulSunday.

Happy Sunday folks, it is a day to enjoy and relax if you are lucky enough to be able to do so.>/center>

Cheers and Blessings

Here is a pic taken yesterday afternoon of 2 happy rainbow lorikeets enjoying a quiet feed in my back garden. They are so colourful and entertaining they always bring a smile to my face.

Interesting to see different artwork along the trail.

A most innovative collection @ace108 to keep everyone entertained. Do you have anything like this in your city?

We have trails in some nature reserves but not going to see art pieces like this.

In that case I will post some more of these photos again when I find another innovative bushland garden. Enjoy your day.

That really looks like a enjoyable walk through the forest with many interesting items along the way to keep you amused 😊

We were very pleased with ourselves to find this garden. Does Byron Bay have botanical gardens?

Unfortunately Byron Bay doesn't have as big or beautiful gardens like that but beautiful beaches 😊
