This beer definitely ranks in my all time, top five, favorite beers
On the beer bottle and the box you can read the date of 1321!

Not only is this beer from the oldest brew city in Austria (lower Austria, Weitra), but it is also brewed Bio! With only natural ingredients.

The flavor is full and robust, yet not bitter.

In the little town of Weitra, there used to be 7 private breweries in the early 18th Century, with each old house still having the old government licence posted on the entrance.

Unfortunately in time many breweries shut down. Today, there are only 3 breweries left in the town of Weitra. The main one being the Weitra Brewery, which has been bought by the larger Private company of Zwettler Beer.

The other 2 remaining breweries in Weitra, are from the 2 main Hotels, Brauhotel Weitra and Gasthof Hotel Hentsch.

Happy new year 2018 to all!

Good job! Thanks to @joeblack1 you have planted 0.13 tree to save Abongphen Highland Forest in Cameroon. Help me to plant 1,000,000 trees and share my Steem Power to the others. Selfvoting is prohibited, but that should be the reason to spread the world to protect our precious environment. 1321! That's a long history! Unfortunately it's almost impossible to buy the brand of beer in where I live in (Hong Kong). This town sounds like somewhere I should plan to visit when I visit Austria later!

The beer is definitely worth a taste when you visit Austria. It can be found in a local supermarket chain called "Merkur" in Austria's larger cities. (Vienna, Salzburg and Linz).
