Craft Beers at Square Time.
Last Friday, after work we decided to go out with some friends, to a restaurant called Square Time.
This was a good opportunity to sample some craft BEER as the restaurant had some available on the menu!!
You can see the price of the Beer on the menu in Rand. (R45.00 = $2.68) This is quite expensive for South Africa.
I decided to go for the Devils Peak Golden Ale, which was on tap. It came ice cold, and had a very nice golden color, with a small head to round it off nicely!! The BEER tasted great and was nice and refreshing and quite light to drink!!
Next up was the CBC Amber Weiss, strangely enough they did not have it available in the bottle as per the menu, but to my delight they had it available on tap.
This BEER came in a darker amber color, with a larger head on top.
This BEER tasted even better than the first one, although it was a bit more heavy. (This could be how I felt as this was the second Beer.)
I loved both the BEERS and we had a great time with our friends!!
I hope you liked the post as much as I liked writing it.
Enjoy those BEERS, Cheers!!
By Australian standards that beer is cheap (and large a half a litre) we would be somewhere around. a Pot (285ml) would be 85R and a pint (660ml) would be maybe 150R - might be worth the flight over there if I was allowed to go anywhere for a !BEER
