I don’t think there was any food color added honestly I can’t figure out if it was the level of carbonation or maybe the combination of flavors They gave me the perception that it should be thick. It’s funny how the mind can play tricks on you. I had a brewery make a white stout one time and I can’t tell you how much these messed with me.
Yeah you never know - I worked for a brewery that used to make a winter porter and amber; both beers used a bit of food coloring to cheat on the styles.

Right...you never know; the place I worked for was pretty cheap, all things considered. From what I recall, it was an old "brewmaster" trick from back in the mass production days
Makes sense if you want to cut costs but that’s sacrificing quality for sure.
