Beer Tasting: Bornem Blond

in #beersaturday5 years ago (edited)

Hello beer tasters!

On the steem-engine, I can see that our !BEER tribe is doing quite well. Bright future on the horizon for the community.
Also, I believe that everyone who deals with this has a lot of other work to do, too. And of course, time for a sip of a beer or two.
Same with me.

Bornem Blond

Brewed by commercial brewery Brouwerij Van Steenberge, Lindenlaan, Belgium. It's a belgian blonde ale style, I have 0.33 l bottle, alcohol 6.0% ABV.

The beer is clear golden color with white foam, more than average but very quickly disappears, a lot of big bubbles. The first sip is sweeter than bitter. Fruit aroma, amost like banana or vanilla, and a slight taste of cloves and peppermint in the background. But not too much.

Smooth and drinkable beer, although slightly lacking in bitterness (for my taste), in the mouth after the last sip remains more pronounced malt with fruity aromas. Well, a typical Belgian ale, suitable for occasional drinking.

And, I'm listening Wholla Lotte Rosie, AC/DC cover by Fair Play band :)

Enjoy Your Beer!

Sounds like a fairly typical Belgian ale, with the banana and clove flavours coming through - always nice a refreshing.
