Down, cheetah, down!

I know that, and so do they. You're good at finding patterns, not so good at reading....

Also, WTF-- why does @cheetah have sub-cheetahs upvoting it?

So he gets more accounts with the power to censor others, of course.

I can't say that he censored anyone here.... I just find it odd to have a network of content detector bots instead of a single content detector bot.

Replying here because of the 6 level deep reply failure error.

Very interesting POV. How do the Cheetahs earn rep?

The group that supports it has been upvoting it since it started. It's at level 66 now. I notice you're not disagreeing, and can apparently take a "grammar nazi" joke in stride, so I'll ask a question.

Do you think that project is working as expected and having a positive effect, or that its nagging drives regular social media users away? And do you see this as still necessary now that user level blocking is available?

Even though I had to "down cheetah, down!"

I have to say that I am undecided. I think that bots like cheetah could be INSANELY useful. It's possible that steem (the daemon) needs a special account type and interface. I've worked a lot with the daemon, and I think its interfaces are a mess.

That said, a special account and interface is a debatable feature. In software, it's a great idea to limit the feature set rigorously, so if I were running the show at steemit, I would not implement this, because making those accounts and that interface would be a hell of a lot of work.

I think that the best course forward, from a SW dev velocity perspective, is to fix the interfaces that we have, and not worry about a special bot account. Now, as for these increasingly powerful bots, I've got to again come back to my initial reply:

I don't know / let's wait and see

I find it odd that a "decentralized anonymous free speech platform" immediately devolved into encouraging automated content scanning and censorship bots, when all they really had to do was implement user level blocking to solve the problems.
What do you think happens when all those bot accounts hit 70? Better hope you don't disagree with cheetahs religion, politics, weird hangups, or have grammar problems. Because he could turn into a serious:
