Thank you for your suggestion! I also noticed that, but since this is just a basic animated version of what I wanted to create as a png for this contest I don't want to focus on that too much. I also kind of disliked the color/texture of the coin itself and changed it in the meantime.
Maybe if enough people ask for it, I'll make a gif out of the updated version of that logo.
We'll see that, when I have created a post about that issue.

not saying I dislike your logo, cause I actually do like it, but you might want to rethink the placement/use of the steemit logo. The current use/placement suggest the whale is in dire need of a bath aka Smells horribly. Just saying.

make the metal part bigger so the water ripple doesn't show at the bottom.
