If you are not exercising regularly, you are definitely losing out on better health. Majority of us complain that we cannot exercise due to lack of time or are too worn out after the office hours and so on. But, what we do not realize is that regular exercise can help you keep off from all the serious illnesses by improving your immunity.

While everyone may not have the option to hit a gym due to lack of time or affordability, something as simple riding a bicycle every day can be the best way to keep you fit. June 3 has been recently declared as the World Bicycle Day by the United Nations and April 19 is also celebrated as World Bicycle Day in the honour of Albert Hofman, the Swiss Scientist (according to pop culture).

Reportedly, April 19 in 1943 is the day when the father of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide). While you will keep hearing different angles, you know that cycling definitely has its health benefits. Let’s see how?

  • Help lose weight and get over obesity
Cycling works on the muscles and thus, helps burn calories faster. It helps boost the metabolic rate which in turn reduces your body fat and helps lose weight. According to health experts, cycling is one of the best forms of exercise that helps cut down on health risks related to a lax lifestyle. It’s the kind of exercise that interests people of all ages and is a healthy, and low-impact exercise.
  • Keeps you from depression
It leaves a strong impact on your mind making it healthier and ward off any possibilities of depression. With regular cycling, you get time to contemplate, while it improves your mood with the adrenaline and endorphin rush.
  • Improves lung capacity
Based on a recent study conducted by the Camden Council, Kings College London, people using cycling as a daily commuting method are less exposed to harmful fumes than those driving a car.
  • Reduces risk of heart disease and canceralt

Yes, people who ride a bicycle regularly are less prone to cancer and heart ailments. According to a research conducted by the University of Glasgow recently, people who cycle to work can reduce the risk of cancer and heart diseases to half.
  • Induces better sleep
Troubled with a sleep disorder or insomnia? Take to cycling and you will not complain of sleeplessness anymore. Cycling is one of the best remedies for those suffering from lack of sleep. Riding a bicycle makes you tired and helps you induce sound sleep.
  • Boosts immunity levels
Boost your immunity system with regular cycling as it helps increase the production of essential proteins and by activating the white blood cells. Any kind of physical activity or exercise is known to improve the immune system and cycling is no exception. Additionally, it also contributes to improving your stamina and endurance.
  • Enhances brainpower
This is a science. When you are riding a bicycle, your brain wanders and gets into different kind of thoughts whether consciously or consciously. This leads you to take different routes while your brain is thinking and working on something and you make your way to back home through unknown roads just as you would solve a word puzzle. These are the situations that help improves your brainpower and encourage problem-solving ability.

So, what are you waiting for? Get on to your bicycle and hit the roads for a better health.

Some of us overlook our health and consider ourselves as healthy until something happened. A sad reality but true, riding a bicycle going work and nearby places is the efficient way to exercise while doing what we need to do. This is a great friendly reminder for us. Thanks @prameshtyagi

100% agree with @hiroyamagishi "that we all are overlook our health and consider ourselves as health until something happen" after then we think about our health.

ahhh come on man, its a terrible article, don;'t encourage him lol its just trash that he upvoted with bots! We should only upvote LEGIT posts not some dumb post about how bicycling helps your health.. We all fucking know that hahaha what garbage. I would have been fine fi the article was about STEEM and bicycles.,

maybe they could make some report on all the bike riders on steem, would that have been so hard? Rthe author could have involved steem somehow but nope

we should not tolerate these assholes writing a SCHOOL report and posting it as an interesting blog. This blog post would never be on front page without bid bots so he shpould respect and acknowledge that fact, and not do whatever he wants. He should write osmething that involves the promtoion oif steem THROUGH bicycling and not just some Click bait type article you find on image sites or Gawker type sites, that's what this article feels like, like a lte night infomercial, feels like a young 12 year old had to write a report for school... Its so LAME

why couldn't the author actually TRY like they just upvoted ANYTHING they had NO idea what to write, its like they paid osmeone on fivver to write an article about health and only because they notcied otrher articles on health getting high priceson steem but that's ONLYT because they were PAID for.. You see all these people imitating the behaviour of Bots and its gross! People think we WANT to READ this shit?

It pisses me off that this post is on trending to begin with, you guys don't haveto make it WORSE by APPLAUDING the shit hahaha its GARBAGE its a GARBAGE post hahaha

We can't waste our time flagging it. Well at least I can't I wish I could. I think @postpromoter and @smartsteem should take this upvote away and sell it to someone else instead but they can't really do that

They are making moiney and I want @prameshtyagi to get their rewards and save it power it up hold it BUT I want them to include STEEM in their future articles. Don't just waste our time with the obnvious triuth we ALREADY all knew , which was that excersize makes us healthyt... WE KNEW this, we didn't need a $700 Steemit post to tell us this! We need INSPIRATION on steem! Would t have been that hard to include some sentences at the beginninga nd end of the article about how STEEM is like excersizing your Brain? And how Steemians and Bicycle riding can be organied into a Steem Promotion Bike ride across the world or osmething? Why not talkj about doing a big bike ride FOR steem, to promotethe steem bloickchain?>

Why not add some of the top steemianw who ride bikes and show their pics in rthe post to help promote them since uyr going to be on the front page

if youre going to beon the front page why not support steem tyopo??

Sorry fo I sounded rude here is an upvote on you are comment but I get mad when is ee Generic LAME posts like this.

I think u forget the power of reminders. And it is in that taste.

For steem - the trend is always full of that. We need to have diversity subjects covered in trend. BTW I do write on crypto and steem too.

I think you are right comment

information post

We all should care for health first. And in fact if there is one post trending about health on Steem - that would be good for all Steemians but it should come from different people with different perspective

Indeed, the older I get the more health-conscious I've become. I've recently decided to get on the supplement train and may write a post on it.

funny how some people reply to other peoples comments on steem.. LOL

Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment.

You got a 25.00% upvote from @payforplay! Please consider delegating steem power to @payforplay. We are currently sharing 100% of our profits with our delegators. That's correct, 100%! It doesn't get better than that. It is essentially running your own bid bot without doing any of the work. Steem power can be delegated here: https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html

This is very good article and reminder. Let’s get started

Forget Hofman, I present you Timothy Leary, the true face of the bicycle:

True lol

I didn’t know it

Never too late to learn about this dope dude

I really like how you placed the picture of all the benefits at the beginning of your article, a picture is worth 1000 words! My takeaways are mainly the cure for sleep, heart disease, and depression. My father suffers from heart issues, this is such a great article and I want to share it with him! He never cycles but this might convince him after the article. See this the power of Steemit! A decentralized way to share great information and entertainment to make the world a better place. Cheers!

Wow .. never knew all these benefits from cycling.. definitely I will use it !

The Disadvantages of a Bicycle

Though many people enjoy cycling as a hobby or as a way to get around, it does have disadvantages, which may be influenced on the safety of your area or your physical state while riding, for example. Thus, this form of transportation may not be suitable for every person for several reasons.

Dangerous Drivers

While some areas have wide shoulders and bike lanes, drivers frequently disregard bicyclists and are at fault for causing cyclist injuries and even deaths. With only clothing and a helmet for protection, bike riders have a significant safety disadvantage in case of an accident. Many of the bicycle crashes caused by motorists go unreported, so it's almost impossible to determine the exact number of cyclist injuries per year. The dangers of sharing a road with cars has made some cyclists decide that the risk of biking is too high and they instead turn to driving cars or other forms or transportation.

Poor Weather Conditions

Riding a bicycle is not recommended in icy, snowy or rainy weather. Also, cyclists may be uncomfortable when the wind is high or there are high temperatures. In areas that have adverse weather conditions frequently, bicycling is not an option as a reliable form of transportation. In order to be safe, cyclists have to check weather conditions before setting out in order to ensure they will be able to get where they need to go safely.

Expenses With Biking

Biking is a fairly expensive hobby. Forbes estimates that buying a fairly good used bike could cost about $150 to 200, although a new one is substantially more expensive. The equipment needed for the bike, including a helmet, gloves, lights and other related items, may cost approximately $300. Additional costs involve bike maintenance. While yearly bike-related costs should be less than car-related costs, infrequent cyclists in particular may find the cost of biking to be a financial burden nonetheless.

Increased Risk Of Injury

Cyclists may experience traumatic and overuse injuries. While traumatic injuries can primarily be attributed to accidents, overuse injuries frequently occur in cyclists who ride regularly. Lower back pain is common in cyclists since they use their lower backs to control and power the bike. The stress added onto the back may produce chronic pain. Bike riders may also suffer a variety of injuries to the tendons or muscles in the knee areas. In some of these cases, it may be necessary to see a doctor or physiotherapist.

That is other side of the story and for sure important to consider while making decisions. However, risks are all around in all the activities just we need to be aware and take precautions. Yes Governments have to introduce cyclists zone on roads to avoid excessive risk exposure of cyclists. Thnx to point out.

You're welcome.
Thanks for the good response.
I apologize for my other side of thing comment.
Its an awareness on many aspects and sides of things.
Overall your post had a big impact on the readers.
Congrats!

Interessting, thanks for this contribution!

Do share yr story

I moved to the village in recent years, and moved back to the city now. And somehow I stoped realy using the bicycle, except for super short distances - like to the fire department house as I am a volunteer fire fighter. Now back in the city, I repaired my bicycle and will actually start using it again on a more frequent level, also because of your commentary here. I did go swimming a lot, do you have any remarks on that?

I certainly admire your effort to motivate people to exercise more. Contrary to popular wisdom exercise is not as important as once thought. For one thing not everyone has the heart strength for the endurance required by cardiovascular activities such as cycling. Another consideration is that drinking alcohol has been proven to be more effective than exercise for living a long life. We all ned a little activity but when it comes to exercise it is better to go to the bar.

And... it is cheap transportation! Bonus!

you are 100% correct

its really very helpful for health.. learnt a lot from your post. Thank you.

wow! A very good tutorial

Nice article!

Yes. It's really nice article.

Sangat bermanfaat

i am going to buy a cycle as soon as possible

Having many beneficial factors, Cycling, notwithstanding, is still traumatic enough passion. The main danger of a bike for men is that during skiing the body with all its weight presses on the groin area, result in compressed blood vessels and nerve fibers running from the base of the spine to the genitals. A symptom of this may be familiar to all cyclists numbness. Usually all they write off on uncomfortable shoes, but this not so. As a result of deterioration in blood flow, there may be problems with male erection. Men who pedal for several hours a day are at risk.

Yes. Excessive of anything is bad. So balance is what that we all need to maintain

I think it's a good thing that people are starting to take care of themselves more, because of how good they want to look in their pictures. A lot of people are going to the gym nowadays, that's certainly a good thing.

I ride mountain bikes. Recently, I have considered getting into road biking for just the reasons you are siting here. Sure, mountain biking is just as good, if not a better physical workout than road biking on a per mile basis, but biking to work would force me to bike every day.

Great post! Resteemed!

awesome post, great insight

thanks inspired to get my cruiser out for the season... I love to swim, try to swim laps at least 4 times a week, when I don't I really notice it!

No doubt, exercise in any form is a good thing. Riding a bike is good because it is relatively low impact on your joints and bones, and it isn't as boring as running on a treadmill. The biggest negative is trying not to get run over if you live in a place where there are no bike trails.

My biggest question would be, do I get the same benefits if I coast a lot...like 40% of the time? If so, I'm in for sure!

Drive by bicycleand do exercise is very important for bady and we reduce stress...

Hola @prameshtyagi...muy interesante articulo sobre la salud y de forma muy saludable y recreativa lo pondré en practica ,ya que puedo compartir en familia manejando bicicleta...saludos

Absolutely true. I love cycling

What interesting post!
We have to move more than our habits!

Thank u. Let’s do it

Live in the Netherlands and think it is fair to say that the cycling culture over here helps to keep many people healthy. In certain countries people take the car to buy stuff 500 meters away. Here we take the bike often.

Live in the Netherlands and think it is fair to say that the cycling culture over here helps to keep many people healthy. In certain countries people take the car to buy stuff 500 meters away. Here we take the bike often.

Yes I know that. I have many friends over there . And they love it. In Tokyo too I saw lot of people using 🚲

The bike infrastructure in the Netherlands is also crazy good. Especially in Amsterdam it feels like cyclers are the majority. I really hope that my country some day will adapt the nice bike way system.

Which country u come from?

I'm from Austria.

The downside of the cycling culture is that they give many car drivers a hear attack. In big cities cyclers come fron everywhere and take crazy risks sometimes
