Making A Bidbot Is Too Easy- I Made One

Yup, you read that right. I now have a bidbot. Its not going to be a serious bidbot, just one that I'll leave running for testing reasons and come back to it to test out new things.

Why did I create the bidbot? Because a group I'm working with thought it would be a good idea to have a bot for their members only in the future, and I assumed that once time came to make the bot, it would be up to me so I just got to work on it already. Because not everything about that has been decided, I won't reveal who its for or anything more. But lets get back to the bot.

How easy was it? Very, I used the open source code for postpromoter, which can be found here: https://github.com/MattyIce/postpromoter. Then I just changed the configs to match what I wanted and then boom, it worked like a charm. I tested it out with one of my own posts, one from @foxon, one from @cryptowithincin, and one from @steemitqa. Didn't have any problems anywhere. Not wanting to leave my main computer on 24/7 or to rent a server which can be costly to run this, I got my Raspberry pi out, installed rasbian on it(I had retropi on it before) and then ran the code off of that. Because I use the pi in headless mode, I don't even need a monitor to check up on it, I can use RealVNC to see it right from any of my other devices, isn't that amazing.

So what was the cost to get this up and going? $30 was it. You can say its free if I decided to use my main computer. Now comes the hard part for it, getting it SP. I won't be marketing this at all, so I don't know how much it'll take for it to be profitable for me. I sent it a 100 SP delegation so if you want to use it, the minimum bid is 0.001 and it returns about a penny, so that could be of some value, but I have no promises and it could be shut down at any time, I'll write it on the bio of the account if I shut it down.

With it being this easy to get a bidbot up and running, who wouldn't want to start one.
