What kind of problems are you talking about @themarkymark?
I'm pretty confidend that I wrote the code for @smartsteem well enough to handle diverse refunds - additionally bottracker is using my own written bid-api. But this doesn't matter I guess, if there is some problem in the bottrackers code.
So, interested in what the problems are.
Post Promoter bot software has a price feed that helps for bot owners who accept both steem & sbd. It is used by both the Bot Tracker Site as well as his Post Promoter bot. The site hosting the price feed kept going down which was causing the Bot Tracking Site to no longer adjust for the current price of Steem/SBD and to properly calculate credits for bots that use both Steem/SBD.
In my situation, I was using his bot software but I only accepted SBD but when the price feed is down, it would crash the bot and cause it to restart. Since it checks for prices every minute, it was crashing every minute. When the bot got to 100%, it would vote but once the price feed was checked, it would crash and stop voting, it would then start sleeping again and it was causing users to get $18 votes for $0.50 and other users not to get a vote.
I took a nap for a few hours and let the first two windows finish for @Ipromote and when I got up to check , I noticed it was happening and shut it off and manually refunded anyone who didn't get a vote. The two users who got $18 votes for $0.50 there isn't anything I could do but I don't see them complaining.
A lot of the new bots use this bot software which I was testing out on a new smaller bot before moving over @buildawhale (which I am glad I did test it with less SP).
Oh I see. Thank you, @themarkymark for your detailed explanation!
