The Full time

On sunday, I had another drama ministration and it was really powerful.

The story is centered around a man whose birth was accompanied with a divine prophesy that he was going to be a king and rule over a people.

He was going to be the answer to the cravings of a people.

His name is Nkwakenna, meaning the father's promise, and his parents were slaves in the palace of a king in an Igbo village but because of the prophesy, The reigning king took him under his wing and taught him the ways of royalty, bringing him up to be a wise king.

The queen was enraged that the king had favoured Nkwa, the son common slaves, over her own sons who were royalty. She cursed him to wander mindlessly far away from home UNTIL he could no longer remember the way back home.

Nkwa ran mad and began to wander until he got a Town called Obade, a town that was known to be flowing with milk and honey, benevolent and always helping other towns and villages

One day, he suddenly jerked back to sanity and found himself in a strange land, on the side of the world, with no idea where he came from, remebring only his name. Luckily a woman who had been observing him came to his rescue and took him in. She called him Ilerioluwa, which was the yoruba translation of his original name, and taught him the ways of the God of Obade, called Eledumare, but shortly after that she died and he was left to fend for himself, toiling day and night for meagre wages.

On one of his daily toils he broke down as he was fed up of the life and he cried to Eledumare for help, whilehe was still praying for help, a thief was been chased by a mob and on getting to him, the thief threw what he stole on him and ran away. The enraged mob thought he was the one they had been chasing since the goods were found with him and they took him to the palace in Obade there.

A regent ruled over obade and as regents they were not allowed to live normal lives as they could not marry or have children. When Ileri was brought to the palace for judgement, one if the chiefs noticed a necklace around his neck, which he had picked up while he was mad. The chief brought this to the attention of the regent who became extremely excited when she saw the necklace.

Kingship in obade town had never been by birth but rather by divine appointment. There is a necklace that each every king that had ruled in Obade wore and when he died, was buried with it. But shortly after the death of the king, the necklace is found around the neck of the next person to be crowned king.

Now it had been found on the neck of Ileri and he was immediately crowned king. The prophesy at his birth had been full filled.

The crux of the story is that despite all the hardships he went through, whenit was time for God to fulfill his purpose, He was glorified.
