Referral codes are a double-edged sword. Yes, everyone likes to get "free" crypto, but there is no such thing as "free". Essentially, you're just shifting the burden of the high fees of Binance onto your referee.

They actually have one of the lowest fee rates out of any crypto exchange (0.05% if you pay with BNB)!
Yes, they make their money in the spreads between the bid and ask.
The traders are the ones making the money in that regard, since it's the trader who is selling. Binance made 0.05% on each trade and now they will make 0.025% and give us 0.025% lol that's still record-low prices for most exchanges, excluding @blocktrades of course. It doesn't make anything more expensive, it just rewards us for getting more people on Binance. I think Binance deserves the traffic since they have competitivley low fees (lower than poloniex, bittrex and kraken) and also they give us the ability to vote for the next coins to be offered which is very admirable and unique!
