Mind Control: Yer Gut and Yer Brain

It's Saturday morning and I am not hungover. It's a new thing for me.

I wanna eat healthier, too. But shit. Pizza is my weakness.

I was reading an article on CBC yesterday called "Your gut bacteria are actively involved in your emotions, how you think, and even behave". It was a piece of an interview from a radio program called Quirks and Quarks.

I've read other related articles before -- how your emotions are "modulated by the microbiome". It's some seriously cool shit.

I think a lot of the time we consider our bodies to be singular, autonomous, or directed by a control center somewhere in the reptile brain. It's neat to think that other living organisms, are involved in a kind of symbiosis, in order to not only protect us from other harmful bacteria, but also influence our actions, feelings, and how we interact with the world.
