Philippine pied fantail

I was amazed this morning at the office. I was curious why there was a knock in the glass, in which nobody is outside.

Then, when I peep in, I saw this local Philippine bangkiyod bird or Philippine pied fantail pecking into the glass wall.

This bird thought that he saw another bird in front of him. Actually, the glass wall is a one way mirror kind.

It gives me a heartfelt laugh. What a poor bird, his beak was hurt due to the impact of bumping into the glass.

This bird’s tail will form like an open fan. I’ts feathers is a combination of black, gray and white.

It is very playful, most especially if it has a pair. It will hop from one branch to the other.

This bird is a regular visitor to our macopa tree at home.
