Go out there and get the birds to trust you enough to eat in your hands if you can...
I had a female Harris's hawk in Hungary. I did not had to go out to do this. She ate the meat from my hands, and she slept with me laying on my neck. We loved each other.
Of course going out, and feeding wild birds from your hands is another thing, but I saw on videos that this is possible.
I saw a video, in which someone even catched a bird (a seagull) from a car.
