You know community and understand it. It is still quite rare to see this. This is the high road you took and it is loveable and admirable. Instead of focusing on people's wallets etc, to defined your own path and its a stand out. Overall, it is a stand out when you try to stir and beauty the community. I do comment voting for many reasons and i read the comments to decide weight and for exactly same reasons as you have picked. Steemit growth works inside out, strengthing the community that's existing and dispel every doubt about steemit and strengthen their conviction in the platform and the vibe will be passed on to the outside even when they try tell family and friends to join steemit. There other reasons for doing this too, another being, so that voting doesnt become a community thing and can reach everyone. etc.
Then i do posts as well. Where i do many comments as well!
I've been in Steemit for over a year now. But I'm not sure that I can say that I understand the community well.
What you do is great. Many do not have enough time and desire for this.
Including me. You understand, family and work.
