EOS - CETOS Leaving The EOS Platform

Acting Like Children

CETOS where building their project on the EOS platform. Today they announced via twitter that they are leaving the platform, stating that EOS had failed them, not that they had failed at all. Fair enough but making statements without any reasoning is begging to be challenged, so challenge I did.

From the screenshot below, you can see my first tweet was asking if they were going to say why to which they replied merely 'Sure.' You can read the rest but what I did not get a chance to capture was the actual response they gave. It was a bunch of smoke and mirrors, no real meat as to why, merely stating that there were differences in direction, nothing technical at all. So I then said,

Ok fine if you do not want to tell us then I assume it was due to to the fact that you cant afford the RAM costs, that is on you for lousy planning you could have bought a whole chunk weeks ago.

Their response was to shut down their twitter page; they sound like a bunch of clowns to me

I hope this doesn’t start a trend. If ram is too expensive then it’s not good for dapp building right? Maybe it’s best for ram to not get traded. At least not now. I also understand that ram is not a scarce commodity and it’s supply can be easily increased?

It really is a non issue, the market will and already has settled down. Those who can’t afford to airdrop can do airgrabs instead (Poormans token). Dan Larimer he said he may include ram renting abilities as well, all will be fine.

Yes, I'm with you there. The trading seems to be a barrier to both dapp projects and entry to new users of EOS. In addition we've seen a lot of whales shake down the shrimps by manipulating the flaws in the system. While a nice idea I think the negatives outweigh the positives and trading be halted.

If all you hear from a project is it's airdrop, you know it's just like the 3/4 ico participants that have failed last year... But still that they have given up that quickly also I shows us about the chain, when small / amateurish projects have to draw flag within a few weeks, this won't help the ecosystem...

Your balance is below $0.028. @dustsweeper is now disabled for your account until you transfer new funds. Check out the Dustsweeper FAQ here: https://steemit.com/dustsweeper/@dustsweeper/dustsweeper-faq

Wow. They deleted their Twitter account. Quite a quick death... https://twitter.com/cetos_io

The high RAM cost have certainly allowed the low quality projects to drop out, while allowing more resources for the bigger and more solid projects to flourish on the EOS network and ecosystem. :D

Cetos was not a project of sound mind. Their roadmap was a map of a solar system lol. Awful lot of stuff about space, and free healthcare. Complete nonsense imo and good riddance.
